Give a “hoot” to Sara- our featured crafter

For a limited time Owl Necklaces is featuring the work of Sara, the polymer clay specialist.  Sara started making polymer clay sculptures as something fun to do and as many other crafters have found…. the hobby became an addition!  In the words of Sarah, “I love making tiny creations from this clay. I do not use molds and I do not use paint. Everything I make is hand sculpted with these two hands and a few tools of the trade.”

Sara started crafting at an early age.  Creativity was encouraged in her family although she did not start experimenting with polymer clay until about two years ago.  Lucky for us…. Sara fell in love with the art.

Sara’s inspiration comes from things that make her happy but because she had an entrepreneurial side…. she also wanted an edgy side which set her apart from the competition.  Sara started crafting owls and birds because owls make her happy (and that makes me happy because I love her cute little love owls).  Sara has the crafting down to a science although she makes sure every single owl is crafted with as much love and detail as the last owl.

In her own words “I am addicted to all things handmade. My splurges are geared towards awesome one of a kind jewelry pieces and clothes for my little chihuahua. I love handmade. I love the idea of supporting an individual artist.”  If you are interested in learning more about Sara or her work, please email debzeitlin@gmail.com.
