Happy New Year from Owl Necklaces

Dear Owl Necklaces Fans,

I just wanted to take a few minutes and wish each of you a wonderful new year.  I’m hopeful that everyone had a great holiday celebration.  As we enter 2010 I have some dreams for Owl Necklaces as well…. I want to continue creating unique owl necklaces with high quality materials (at affordable prices).  I also aim to have the very best customer service…. No question is silly so ask away (whether you want to know if an owl can be used on a different chain or if you can swap beads).  I respond to every question as fast as possible. Good luck owl friendly fans….. may all our resolutions come true as well.

Your friend- Hoot, Hoot.

The story behind some of my owls….

You may wonder how I name my owl necklaces… I often have a difficult time naming my owl gifts because they are all so unique.  When I put a new owl pendant together I often think of “whooo” the owl reminds me of and then the characteristics of the person I am naming the owl after.  For example, Elena the Friendship Owl.  Elena is one of my dearest friends in real life.  I met her several years when she was teaching my statistics class.  Elena turned out to be a good teacher but a better friend. She has seen me go through many changes and this friendship owl really reminds me of our relationship and how our friendship has grown.

The Doctor Whooo Owl Pendant Necklace was named by my brother, Doug.  Doug loves to help me come up with cute names for my owl pendants.  In fact, Doug also named The Sweetie Pie Bird Necklace as well.  I will often call my brother for creative advice.  Doug is so unique…. you can check more about him on his page TWERP Productions.

Lastly, Annie the adorable Koala is named after my sister’s dog, Annie.  I love when Annie comes for a visit because she is too cute and filled with love.  I also do not mind hanging out with my best friend (and sister) Sarah.  To read more about the amazing life of my sister check her out here: IMBD.

That is about it for today…. if you ever have any questions please feel free to e-mail me.  If you know someone worthy of a necklace named after them, let me know.  I’m always looking for new and creative ways to express myself with my owl necklaces and would love your help in the process.

I took the handmade pledge

As you may have noticed, everything on owl necklaces is handmade. I think giving a gift that is handmade and personal says as much about the person giving the gift as the person receiving the gift.

I took the handmade pledge.

Everything you see on this site has been handcrafted by either myself, my sister, my mother, or an associate of myself.
